y soul was warmed today
not as embers sooth an ancient wife
or sunrays coax a seed to life
er laughter
made the storms unwind
that rage within
my troubled mind
y heart felt love today
I drifted to my Mother's face
and felt a loving wife's embrace
er smile
brought all there is to feel
to one small place
and let me heal
y life took meaning just today
while poets led me to the arts
and wise men gave me fits and starts
er strength
demanded that I face the day
and made me put
my mask away
